These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Can My Dog Eat? website, mobile experience, and related services (the "Service") operated by dogdo("dogdo", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or continuing to use the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Who you are contracting with
The Service is provided by dogdo. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation. If you are using the Service as an individual you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction.
2. The Service
Can My Dog Eat? provides AI-assisted food safety guidance, training lessons, dog profile tools, and related features for dog owners. Content is educational and is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice. Always consult a qualified vet for medical decisions about your dog.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular you must not:
- use the Service unlawfully or for fraud, spam, or harassment;
- infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
- attempt to disrupt or probe the Service, upload malware, or scrape at scale;
- reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service or circumvent technical limits.
5. AI outputs
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions, food verdicts, and training tips. Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and must not be relied on for veterinary, medical, legal, or financial decisions. You are responsible for the prompts you enter, verifying outputs, and ensuring you have rights to any content you upload (e.g. photos). We may filter, moderate, or refuse outputs and may suspend accounts used for prohibited content (illegal material, hate speech, deepfakes, jailbreaking attempts, malware, etc.).
6. Intellectual property
dogdo retains all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including software, content, branding, and documentation. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your selected plan. You retain ownership of the content you submit; you grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the Service.
7. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms. Our own refund window is described in our Refund Policy.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the billing cycle you selected (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the "Manage subscription" area in the app; access continues until the end of the paid period.
8. Service level and warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where liability cannot be excluded by law.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination your right to use the Service ends; we may delete account data after a reasonable retention period.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which dogdo is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
